The thought of Rajasthan as a Desert State although a romantic one, is partially misleading. The state is divided into the land of Marwar, the Thar Desert, the lakes of Udaipur and the forests of Ranthambhore. The forts, palaces, sand dunes, camels and the multicolored turbans all add up to make Rajasthan an irresistible travel destination.
